Executive Director

Helene joined the team in 2020 working on communications and in 2021 became the first full time employee. She has an extensive background in various fields including design, imports, municipal administration, fundraising, event planning and more. As the Executive Director she supports the Board Members in their commitments and is responsible for new programs and initiatives which broaden the scope of the Foundation and the Trust.

Education Program Coordinator

A self-described biologist, teacher and nature nerd, Jessica has been guiding our program and our student since 2022.  She has a BSc in Environmental Science (McGill) and a MA in Environmental Education & Communication (Royal Roads University). Jessica believes in cultivating the students curiosity and wonder for the natural world.

Trail Director and Designer

Mahicans joined the team in 2016 when the first trail was built at Scowen Park. His unique talents have ensured that we are renowned for our well-designed and long-lasting trails. His philosophy of going lightly on the land, forms the basis of his design work which incorporates local materials and a hand built approach to trails that follow the contours of the land.
